johncow.com is more painful than mad cow disease

As a lot of people know johncow.com is a popular internet marketing blog. It never fails amaze me how johncow is able to retain such a strong readership in spite of the fact that ninety percent of the content is so boring it could cure insomnia. No insight or commentary regarding internet marketing, SEO or internet business; just updates about various odd gift cards, givaways, pointless videos, advertising promos, fundraisers, and other vacuous filler.

The site is also misleading. Aside from the lackluster content, johncow doesn’t actually help you make mooney online. Under the logo it says ‘make mooney online’ yet none of the articles seem to pertain to this theme. What a ripoff.

But as long as johncow pays the bills and then some, I don’t see the creative direction of the blog changing anytime soon. Perhaps a few readers of johncow.com will grow tired of the sour, expired content and mooooove to iamned.com

Dude, you should pay to have him do a review of this site. That would be funny. He would obviously bash it because you bash him so much. Then you would gain readership.

JohnCow, I believe, originated as a parody of JohnChow, who is even WORSE than JohnCow. Eventually, I think Cow realized he could make a lot of money by making it not so parody-ish. And hence it was born.
There’s a sucker born every minute, and 90% of them go to one of those two sites.
Unfortunately, that’s A LOT of traffic.

lol, yeah, I don’t see the actual deal either. I do think he had a good sense of humor and that made reading him worthwhile but overall he has lost most of that humor and you soon realize he doesn’t actually have much real or useful advice on “making mooney” and without the humor there isn’t much left but an over hyped blog with a decent looking theme.

But he is really good at riding the waves and cashing in when he can. Maybe he should have named the site “the surfing cow”. I mean he did pretty well with that whole euro wiki thing and played it off pretty well when he sold out so fast. Can’t knock him for jumping in while it was hot and getting a nice chunk of change for doing it but trying to play it off to his loyal sheep and most of them going along with it is what is sad.
