Buying links for traffic is a waste of money reply
The response forĀ my post on buying links for SEO was sooo incredibly polarized that there is almost no point in trying to refute those who disagree with me.
Here is my original
Ranking high in search engines will give you more traffic, and you get traffic from the link as well. That seems like a better deal.
I get thousands of visits a day for some keywords and that wouldnt be possible without SEO based links. I may only get 100 visits a day from websites that link to my site.
My analysis is rock solid. Anyone who still disagrees can suck it. werd

I think the problem with the way most people buy links for traffic purposes only is that they still do it as if they were doing SEO. They don’t use catchy enough text. They use the same text they’ve been using…”myspace glitters.” No one is going to feel compelled to click that. You have to use catchy expressions, like “John Chow caught stealing 3 million dollars!” Granted, the best catchy text usually has to be an over-the top lie in order to draw people to your page.

Eh for what it’s worth, I agreed with you.
If it was possible to make more money from the link than the amount you paid, the person selling the link would be using it themselves.
